Rogan von Rodalben is a beautiful 5 year-old Shepherd mix. This medium-energy golden boy seeks human partners who appreciate and understand Shepherds, and who will also provide structure and guidance. In return, he will be a profoundly devoted and attentive companion. Rogan is great with people he knows and trusts, and that’s when he’ll show his happy, fun side. Likely housebroken, his treat-motivated and eager-to-please disposition makes him highly trainable. He shows excellent focus on his handler and has done very well in our weekend training program, including around other dogs. His enthusiasm about heading out for a walk is evident in the energetic, prancing gait that makes him an excellent walking or hiking companion. In playgroups, Rogan greets the other dogs congenially, but he tends to gravitate toward hanging out with his person. Cats, however, are not on his friend list, but he’ll gladly keep the backyard free of furry invaders. In the kennel, Rogan can be barrier protective, so we suspect he might show some degree of protectiveness in a home, but who can blame him after he’s waited for a loving home he can call his own?
